I grew up in Abbeville, Louisiana. It’s a tiny town almost in the Gulf. I can peel and eat shrimp and crawfish faster than you can possibly imagine. Minutes after I graduated high school, I set off to California to see what life was all about. I earned a degree in Ornamental Horticulture & Greenhouse Production at Cal Poly San Luis Obispo. Of course all of that went to hell in a hand basket when I discovered the world of adult. My career has consisted of DVD buyer, DVD production, DVD and toy sales, chain store operations and finally my own retail store, The Velvet Box. For 15 years I have been a part of a wonderful community that I call family. I have been blessed to see a lot of the world at a young age. I do yoga 5 days a week and love to travel. I will go anywhere at least once!

Texas bred and Texas fed all my life, so I say words like ‘ain’t’ and ‘y’all’ in a southern drawl. Graduated from Smalltown, TX, USA where I played lots of tennis for my small 3A high school. I like to think tennis is a conversation between two people where you always want to have the last word!

I’m a little bit of a gamer. (I wouldn’t say I’m a hardcore, sixteen hour straight, Cheet-O and Dr. Pepper bingeing gamer, but I play my share!) I love to work with my hands whether it’s putting furniture together or building fixtures in the store. I don’t like to read the last chapter of book. I usually leave twenty or thirty pages at the end and put the book back on the shelf.

My cherished days working as a youth camp counselor allows me to look at the world at times with a curiosity you can only learn from working with children. I want to know how it works, why it’s there, what that smell is…you get the idea. I’m happy to be a part of The Velvet Box and to have the ability to enrich the lives of other’s through our selection and knowledge. We certainly bring people closer together!

I am 22 and have blonde hair and blue eyes. I like long walks on the… Wait, wrong profile! Ever since high school I knew I wanted to help people in their relationships and their sex lives. Now I have the opportunity to do so every day. You can say this is a dream job for me. I love this industry. I love learning about product, from the luxurious Lelos to the unspeakable things that make you say “you do what with that?!?!” I want to be able to answer any question a person may have.

My free time is spent relaxing with the ones I care about the most, going to movies, clubs and backyard house parties. I love TV series and movies. Not that I arrange my life around a time slot, but there is something about the way a show or grabs you and takes you into another world. Give me drama! No Will Ferrell for me. I will watch entire seasons of Brothers and Sisters, Dexter and Greys Anatomy from start to finish just because I can!

I am an East Coast Girl with a Texan heart. I love city living and having the ability to grab a nice dinner within a 1 mile walking distance. I grew up with a colorful background. My hard work and discipline I credit to my Mother and her long lineage of American Farmers. The importance of education, a business savvy mind, and a little self deprecation I credit my to my Father and his family.

I am obsessed with stand up comedy, art museums, and Abraham Lincoln. Weird I know! I became part of the industry when I interned for Howard Stern. I was introduced to the acceptance of humor and sex more than my small childhood town could provide. After that, my eyes were wide open. My purpose in life is to help other people see their true worth and learn to love themselves unconditionally. I had no idea how I would manifest that purpose until joining The Velvet Box. It seems like a small step toward self-acceptance, but learning how to allow ourselves pleasure in every sense is a huge accomplishment. It allows us the freedom to live fully and without fear of judgment. My hope each day is to help another person see themselves for the unique and lovable soul they are. Encouraging a healthy self-image and promoting a relaxing, judgment-free environment is how I use my time at The Box. My heroes are all the revolutionaries of human history changing the world while I watch from the safety of my couch.

I enjoy being part of a team that helps people to feel comfortable with their sexuality. My job is incredibly rewarding and satisfying because helping people is what I do best. Outside of work I can be found at home with my family. I enjoy having friends over for dinner despite my lack of cooking skills. But I make up for a bad dinner with a lovely dessert. When I am not burning dinner I like to write as much as I can. I hope some day, a long time from now, I can go back and read about my life as an older, wiser self. Some one once told me “If you are comfortable in life than you are doing something wrong.” Growing pains are a positive sign of personal growth.

Yes, I’ve been described as a lady’s man. I can’t help it if no woman can resist my big brown eyes! My gentle charm gets them every time. I am not afraid of commitment! Ladies, you’ll be leaving me in tears when you walk out that door.

My area of expertise is Food Quality Assurance. If I know anything, it’s food! I can sniff the very decadence out of a butter-poached lobster through any garbage bag!

But whether it’s whetting my pallet or taking in the sun (while on my leash), my heart belongs to one! Marcelle-my love. My being depends on you! Who without you, my days would be spent curled in bed, and my nights…probably still curled in bed. You are the reason I get up each morning!

How best to describe me? I’m tall, dark, and handsome with the perfect puppy dog eyes! I’m a rugged 21cm tall with a full head of hair! I’m an adventurous kinda guy really. I believe in taking the corners in life on two paws!

My ultimate contribution to The Velvet Box is that of Gryllus Assimilis Control, or as they call me in the streets: The Cricket Wrangler. I basically do a sort of catch and release program where in I catch it…release it…then catch it again! And I pretty much repeat this process until the cricket finally gives up, or hops beneath the filing cabinet…it’s really his choice.

I have a roommate, Danielle, who is just awesome! She makes my lunch–hell, my dinner too! Always picking up after me! The other day, she even gave me a bath! Wow, I am lucky guy…
